League members write the best selling books in the world, are TV personalities, climb mountains, fly fighter jets, and of course, change lives. But they are more than that. League members are the best performers on the speaking circuit.
They deliver inspiring, educational, funny, and moving keynotes that are meticulously crafted. Their speeches feel like theatrical experiences rather than just talks.
Led by the League’s Artistic Directors, Michael and Amy Port
League members are selected because of their significant professional accomplishments and extraordinary talent as performers. They work closely with The League’s Artistic Directors, Michael and Amy Port , two of the best and most respected performances coaches and keynote directors in the world.
Represented by a well-respected international speaker’s bureau
While the Ports work directly with League members on their keynote performances, Speaker’s Spotlight, a well-respected international speaker’s bureau, represents League members and puts them in front of the right audiences at the right time.

Meet the Founders
Michael Port has written six books, including Book Yourself Solid and Steal the Show. His books have been on the bestseller lists of the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Publisher’s Weekly, and have been selected by Amazon and 800-CEO-READ as “best books of the year.” Coupled with earning his MFA in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Michael’s been at the highest levels of the keynote circuit for the past fifteen years.
After Amy Port earned her MFA in Acting from The Yale School of Drama, she spent years acting professionally in theaters such as Seattle Repertory, Oregon Shakespeare and Yale Rep, and working consistently in commercials. Amy now applies the skills of performance that only well-trained actors know to the coaching of ‘non-actors’ looking to crush their sales presentations, to make their voices heard in TED Talk style presentations, and to take the big stage keynoting major conferences.
As co-founders of Heroic Public Speaking, Michael and Amy work like directors in theater rather than typical speaking coaches. In fact, Scott Stratten, with typical cynical ambivalence, went to watch Michael and Amy lead a masterclass, after which he remarked, “I was mesmerized watching you two coach public speakers. I’d pay admission just to witness it. It was like watching art being made.”
